Using Egg White For Skincare

In the egg, there are two major parts, the egg white and the yolk. Egg white is also known as albumen and is that clear liquid contained within an egg. When it comes to facial and skin care egg white is used. Egg white is loaded in protein and contains no fat. The only bad I know about egg white is that it is high in sodium. Egg whites are low in calorie and  contain the bulk of the egg's protein. It contains about 4 grams of protein, 55 mg of sodium and only 17 calories. A single egg white also offers 1.3micrograms of folate, 6.6 mcg of selenium, 2.3 mg of calcium, 3.6 mg of magnesium, and 4.9 mg of phosphorus and 53.8 mg of potassium. Did you know egg whites can be use to remove the dead skin on your face so that face becomes clean and bright? Yes it does! You can do so  many things with egg white when it comes to body care.

Egg white have the following health value

  •  Protein: Good for skin, tissue growth and repairs, prevent wrinkles

  •  Potassium: It hydrates and moisturizes and retains moisture in skin cells.

  •  Riboflavin: Destroys  toxic and cell damaging free radicals that causes wrinkles

  •  Magnesium: Radiant skin, reduce the aging process of the skin.

When it comes to skin tightening and toning, egg white is one of the natural products you could use. It helps reduce large pores on the skin surface thereby reducing excess sebum. Large pores are potential breeding grounds for bacteria that cause acne or white head. Aslysozyme, an enzyme present in egg white eliminate acne-causing bacteria by digesting their cell walls.

As moisturizer and skin tightener
Mix one olive oil with a teaspoon of  honey and one teaspoon of egg white. Apply on the face and neck to dry. Then rinse with warm water. Regular usage makes the pores to shrink. You can also use this formula to make your skin soft.

For acne removal and wrinkles reduction
Wash your face with warm water so to open your pores and remove any dirt or oils gathered on the face. Then break  open the egg and separate the yolk from the egg whites. The yolk is not needed so you can discard. Stir the egg whites in a bowl until it gets frothy or bubbly. Apply the egg white on your face. Do not allow to come in contact with your lips and eyes. Make sure the rest of your face is covered with the egg white. The egg white will also help to prevent wrinkles and remove dead skin in areas of the face where their is no acne. Let the egg whites dry on your face for 10-20 minutes. Lastly wash your face with warm water to remove all the left over egg white and moisturize. You can do this for at least once a week to keep your skin looking good.

For stretch marks reduction
Whip the whites of two eggs gently with a fork. Clean the affected skin area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a makeup brush. Allow the egg whites to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water. Finally apply some olive oil on the skin to keep it moisturized. Repeat the process daily for at least two weeks and watch for positive results.
